this is the bull i helped my dad pack out this year. that was 9 hours of pure fun in 0 degree weather!

my dad was on his way out when he cut a fresh set of tracks across his. followed them for about 1/2 mile and spotted this bull bedded in the thick stuff. my dad thought it was already dead because he got within 15 yards of it, but he chose to put a bullet in it just in case. as he raised his rifle and looked through the scope, the bull moved it's head slightly and BOOM! one shot and the bull never left it's bed.

That's a great looking bull and a cool story. congrats to your dad. Hunting bulls in the snow would be a blast. (I said hunting, not packing)

Congrat to your dad there berto on a fine bull. Great looking pictures too with the back covered in snow, burrr.

vzone,

we didn't measure him, the biologist at the check station measured 43 inch main beams and 43 inch spread. i'd guess him right at 300 gross.

not huge, but very nice for a public land bull with an otc tag.
