This bull was killed sept. 13 in the wasatch. Self guided hunter from California. I think this one was worth his 9 bonus points.

JB,
So this is the Bull you were telling me about, what a Monster. Guess those other hunters were perturbed when he got it right out from under them.

Brian,

That's him. There are no rules about who these animals belong to but it does make you feel for the local guy that had been chasing this bull for 2 weeks just to have a guy roll in from Ca. and kill him the first day on the Mtn. The guy that killed him did know the country and didn't just stumble in to him though. He killed it a mile and a half from the road and a local guy he had helped out years before used his horses to retrieve it. It sure pays to help people out when needed. BTW his hunting partner killed a 330 +- bull the next day.

WOW!!! This bull didn't happen to be killed "near" Strawberry did it? If not, his little brother has been wintering in Daniels for a couple of years. Congrats to the hunter!

I'm not familiar with the area but the hunter told me "east of strawberry"

JB

WOW! Gulp. That right side fourth looks like it extends forever. Congrats to the hunter.

Great bull and if it was that far from the road -- he deserves it, as too many hunters are road warriors and then complain!

He looks just like one I filmed just south of strawberry. I did not guess his score that high but might not be the same bull. What a great Unit!

I am going to take some heat here, but does Utah take second place to any other state these days when it comes to big bulls?

Utah doesn't have squat for deer, but the bulls are outstanding.

Hello, I'm the guy who was fortunaye enough to draw a tag and take this bull. What an awesome hunt, I relive it often. Thanks for all the comments an congratulations. This bull was in fact killed near Strawberry. I'd sure like to see some pictures of him prior to September 13 if anyone has them. I'm not sure how to go about doing that, this is my first email.

THANKS

Hey bucksNducks.
This is we_B_huntin. I sent you an email regarding you possibly having some live footage of the bull I took.
shorty after that my computer crashed so I haven't been able to receive any emails. I do have access to this site and should get my computer back soon. If you do possibly have some footage I'd really like to hear from you or anyone else that may have seen this bull around Strawberry prior to September 13th.Please post the message.
thanks

I emailed you and just after that I watched the film again and I can't see the 6th point on the right side. We did watch him with spotting scopes also and my nephew that he had 7 on one side but still could not pick it up on the film. He was around 800 yards out just before it started raining so not much light or color.

Great bull!!! Who shot the elk? There are two pictures of different people. Anyways, very cool pictures.

UTAH DOESNT HAVE SQUAT FOR DEER???? HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT MULE DEER NUMBERS ARE DOWN EVERYWHERE BUT YOU CAN STILL FIND A BIG BUCK IN UTAH AS LONG AS YOU ARE WILLING TO PUT IN SOME TIMES SCOUTING AND GET AWAY FROM THE ROADS AND OFF OF YOUR ATV YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE STILL IS SOME BIG BUCKS IN UTAH.

The top pic is the B&C measurer and the second pic is the man that shot it. Lynn Grant

Thanks Wade,
Best of luck in the draw, I hope you get your tag. Let me know
what happens.

This bull is the third largest typical entered for B&C's 25th awards program and is headed to Kansas City for panel scoring. Damn, I hope I didn't make any mistakes on the score. Keep your fingers crossed Lynn.

Hello again
Took this bull to the Boone and Crockett 25th awards program In Kansas City.
He ended up being the number two typical American elk at the awards banquet. Some guy named Chuck Adams had number one. I got to visit with alot of really nice people there and see some awesome trophies. Odds are I'll never get another animal that will get me invited again but it was a great experience. Thanks Jeff for scoring this bull for me the score stayed exactly what you had him at after going before the judging panel. I never thought I'd take a bull of this caliber. Utah has some great elk hunting. My sixteen year old son drew the junior hunt this year, maybe he'll get lucky and get a nice bull, no matter what I'm sure we'll have a great time, we always do.

Thanks for all the comments Lynn Grant
