Packing with Llamas

Wow..first of all this is a great site and I am glad that I found such a valuable resource.

Now for the question.. Do any of you or have any of you packed with llamas?

I am a foot hunter who hunts the back country and am considering renting a pair for the '04 season in Colorado. I think it would make life alot easier and less stressful on the old back when hauling something out. Any experience?

This site will give you an idea of the types of camps they can pack in and some visual info on handling and packing. All animals and camps where packed in/out with llamas.

I have used llamas several times - from 3 different groups in Colorado. The last guy I used was Mark Pomier out near Durango and the llamas were good ones, I also have used Buckhorn Llamas out of Ft Collins.

I own 3 pack llamas now - there is not better animal IMO.
