MB unit 9 AZ

Hey M.B. if your out there, just want to know how you and your dad did in unit 9 AZ elk hunt this year ? Thanks TR

Todd, We had a good hunt enjoyed it alot. I Killed a 6x6 the next to last day of our hunt scored about 325. Dad past up several bulls and never did kill anything. We saw a few bulls that were monsters but just never could make it work. The best bull that I saw was the day before the season opened real big 6x6 that look like about 375 or something like that.

Have you gone on your hunt yet what the scoop on your hunt.

One thing I did learn is that I am going to put in with a bow from now on. That rifle is fun but I would enjoy my bow alot more.

Okie, How many points did it take you to draw that? I tend to agree with the archery hunts. I saw many big bulls in unit 7 during archery season. I was not hunting at the time, just scouting.

The dill is, I have always dream of hunting elk in Ar. with my dad. At his age and with his health still some what good I decided to just take a late rifle hunt. We both had 9 points and both drew. Myself would had just waited for a bow tag but the experience and the good times dad and I have are to inportant to me. So that what we did. Great time and great hunt. Memories for a life time. Also my dad does not shot a bow has back trouble.

MB, sounds like you had a great hunt! Unit 9 in November is tough Unit 8 and 10 are better November hunts and if your putting in for archery, one of the two should be your 2nd choice.
What did you think of Randy?

MB, The country you were in, is where I grew up and learned to hunt ! I learned alot about BIG BULLS there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Todd, I never got to meet Randy talk to him on the phone quit a few times but that was it. Had great time Unit 9 was awasome. That sheep must had been a hunt of a lifetime those animals are just awasome. Maybe one of these days I can draw that tag. Keep in touch and thanks for your help. M.B.
