Can anyone tell me the average size of bull on this limited entry elk unit? My freind should draw a tag this year for the rifle hunt and I was wondering how this hunt should be as far as action and size thanks.

Hey Monte,
I was on the unit last year with a friend and I would say the average size of the bulls we saw was around the 330-340 range. I know there are some brutes on the unit. In fact a 398 bull was taken w/a guides help and another bull that scored about 380. My friend finally took a good 360 class 6x7 on the fourth day. If you hold out you should be able to find a bull over 350, but you'll have to weed through all the smaller bulls. If you friend draws email me and I'll get you started. The unit is large and it took us some time to find the larger bulls. If you check out the trophy contest you can see my friends bull. It is called Joe's Giant. Good Luck, Fstop

Thanks for the information if you can give me your e-mail I would greatly appreciate some information on this unit. I have seven points and put in for this unit I dont htink I will draw but my freind has 10 and I think he should have a great chance.
