Well I'm jacked about Elk Hunting this year. 4 of my hunting buddies from back where I used to live finally got drawn for Non Resident tags after 3 yrs. So I'll have to do some really serious scouting this year(as if I don't anyway)HE-HE. The last time we got drawn together was in 1999 for Oregon and the 6 of us killed our Bulls after 7 days of hard hunting.
I just found out that I drew uint 7 Type 1. I am jacked up now. It has been 3 years without a elk tag for WY. for me. Time for the homework to start. I drew this unit before and got a decent bull but I just hunted one little spot so I will have my work cut out for me. Good Luck to the rest of you guys.

Its funny how a little piece of papper can make us so happy yet not getting one can piss you rite off I am the latter but I will get over it I hope that you that did draw have a great hunt but I will be there next year

I have been applying in WY since 1993. I have drawn one antelope tag. I contribute it to putting in on the hardest hunts.I put in for the "best of the best" units, and it is my belief that I am wasting my time in WY without a bonus point system!!!!
The deer unit I put in for is averaging 1 in 25 odds. That means without bonus points, it could take 25 years to draw a deer tag.
Anyone else in the same boat as me???
At least I will be chasing some trophy bulls in UT, as my buddy bought the Anthro bull tag Fri night. hopefully I will live another 30 year, becuase that's about when I might draw a UT, NV, AZ, WY, or CO tag. I just noticed my NewMexico unit has gone from 1 in 5 too 1 in 18, it is getting harder every year. I guess I need to stop going to the Whorehouse "Sports Warehouse", start saving my denero and buy one of those dam UT conservation tags or I might be dead by the time I draw a quality elk tag.

Just found out that I drew on the General tag. This tag will go along nice with my Idaho Elk Super Tag!
