Online was OK for orynx, I am putting 15 as a second choice, not sure which hunt, probably the first one.
Hoping to draw but with the extra competition from everyone with a dream and a credit card it will be tough.

Oh yeah, what kind of terrain and hunting can I expect in unit 15 (I have only hunted 52 in NM elk, bow)? Steep? Wilderness? ATV's?

You are correct of course...Just muzz in 15. I had to go back and check the file I saved on my comp.

There every where ..dont mind them,just as long as there on the roads ...Last yr.I had bad luck in the Taylor area near the towers ,w/bow,spooked the elk off that ridge they were on ...put in for Taylor w/ muzzle ...I be hunting on the old checker area IF I get drawn!!!!!

Ahhh ok. I thought you were askin to bring yours. I did not have too much trouble with atv's in fact I cant say I saw a single unit. Im sure thats not the case unit wide or every year just a damn fine bit of luck for me that year. did not have to listen to atv's runnin around nor walk across there tracks. I was pleased indeed.

Unit 15 has every time of terrain you can imagine. From high Aspens on Mangus Mountain to the Flats around Slaughter Mesa. You can bet that there will be plenty of ATV traffic around the main roads. Don't let that discourage you. I've seen several 300+ bulls taken on drinkers near main roads in the evenings. I've hunted and guided 15 and 16s for the better part of 15 years. There are some giants still living there.
