AZ 4A elk

I would really like to know if those familiar w/ this particular unit have ever seen or heard of anybody killing a bull 350 or larger. I don't care about surrounding units, just 4A. I've hunted the unit my whole life killing 3 elk there, but I have never seen or heard of any huge elk being taken. If you have pictures, that would be even better. BIG BULLS, not 330 calibur.

yes ive heard of some nice 6x6 and 7x7 coming out of there they scored in the 350-380 area

Well I'm glad there was at least one big bull in there once upon a time. Doesn't seem like anybody else has seen or heard of anything. Where are you from hunter?

AZtrophyhunter having lived in Az for too long you have forgoten that a 330 bull is a great bull! Not every unit in Az has the capability to produce 400 bulls. I am willing to bet if you find yourself 20 yds. from a 330 bull this Sept. in 4a you will be flinging arrows without a second thought. Let's just hope we might have that kind kind of luck. rnhunter

I'm not gonna be getting an elk tag anyway so it doesn't even matter!

There are some big bulls in this unit as in most all the units that hold Elk in the state. One female archery hunter we had a few years back 3 I think, shot at a bull we thought would go bout 380 or more. Last year we hunted it and saw several bulls over 300 which in my book is outstanding.
