There is a chance I might be going with some friends on a pack trip on the south slope of the uintahs on the arcery elk hunt this year. They went on the rifle hunt last year and scored on a nice five point during the rifle hunt. Anyone have any luck on the archery hunt in this area. I understand the archery season ends a week later this year. What's your forcast for this hunt. Any recommendations or suggested areas. We got a good string of pack and riding mules so distance isn't a problem.

thanks in advance

I think the draught has affected the South Slope unit alot, (at least the deer aren't doing very well) also it is a anybull unit,so it is going to be tough on archery. I dont hunt the South Slope so I really cant say. I have 15 acres just to the North and the Draught the last ten years has me hunting other areas. Their are good Bulls in that area though, just not very many. Good luck
