Bulls in the velvet

Here are a few photos I took of a couple bulls in the velvet this past weekend. I spotted them as they came out of the trees and managed to slip off my horse and use him for cover while I got a few shots.

They came fairly close before they stated to circle around me.

All of a sudeen this coyote appeared on the scene to check things out.

As they moved further away I managed to get this old shed in the foreground as they fed towards the trees again.

My friend told me last week he saw a 7 point bull and I almost didn't believe him. Seeing these pictures proves that alot of antler growyh can occur before June. Way cool. John

You didn't smoke the 'yote???
Those are some great pics. Doesn't take long for them "bones" to grow. The next month will be awesome watching them grow!
