BeanWife and I both drew cow elk muzz tags for unit 61. Now to put some meat in the freezer.

Good luck,

BeanMan

Be sure to take a good camera and show us all the big bulls that you couldn't shoot! Sounds like a fun hunt.

Finally after 9 years of applying my buddies and I drew the early unit 61 rifle elk tag, it should be a fun hunt. Does anybody have any suggestions they want to give out?

Thanks, Gary

Fly,

Since I will be hunting it for Muzz shortly before your hunt I would be happy to relay anything I learn. I live about 45 minutes form that unit and will be up there a few times this summer to scout.

Congrats,

BeanMan

Drew my unit 7 muzzy tag with 0 points not that tuff of a draw but still had a chance of not drawing. Will be hunting in unit 19 any info would be appreciated

A big ZERO for ELK/DEER. Just another bonus point to accumulate. I now have 2/4 respectfully. Hopefully next year!!!! Mickeyelk

I got all I asked for. Late cow unit 35 + 3rd season buck unit 18. I will also be taking a OTC bull tag in the 3rd season. Now I will have 3pts deer + elk, 2 pts antelope + moose + big horn + sheep and bear. Any info on unit 35 late season cow would be great. I know there is a lot of BLM land right off the highway but I havnt had a chance to check it out. Thanks in advance. Jovan

I hunt unit 19, dvd. i finally killed a small bull with my bow last year in 19.

Trying to figure out why i didnt draw. Did any of you draw a statewide Muzz tag with no points? If so i really got screwed. I was sure i would draw a tag with a point since it was 54% last year.

I am not sure I understand your question. Last year there were no nonresidents with 0 points that drew a bull tag. Only about 80% with 1 point got drawn. That figure probably was lower this year. So you probably had less than a 2 in 3 chance of being drawn with one point as a nonresident.

If you are a resident, you should definately have been drawn with 1 point. Only thing I can think of there is that something happened in the application process. One year, one of our group wrote his check for $235 instead of $253. His app was disqualified and he didn't even get a preference point. That is why I did the online app this year, should eliminate mistakes like that.

The 4th guy in our group (also a nonresident) who had 0 points put in for a bull as a first choice, and a cow for his second choice. He drew a cow.
