Hows the elk hunting in unit 18, I put in for the controlled antler hunt. I have a whitetail hunt planned in there for latter in the fall so I figured might as well try and draw and elk tag to give me and excuse to get up there earlier.

It's good. Really good. If you get lucky and draw, drop me a line and i'll hook you up. Know a couple w/tail spots too.

I saw a 380 bull there 2 years ago but didn't have a tag. Let me know if you draw. Where abouts are you gonna chase the w/tails and have you ever hunted them in 18 before?

No, I would be open to options on the w/t hunting also. My neighbor hunts it religously for w/t and has taken several nices ones out of there. Thats basically what drove me to the unit, hes gave me a little insite on the w/t but anything extra would be appreciated. I have a freind coming over from the OR coast, hes wants a whitetail so thats what were going to do I geuss is go whitetail hunting.
