Ok this question kinda goes along with widowmaker's post but my brother inlaw and myself went scouting this weekend and we got on the topic of what is the earliest a bull will respond to a bugle and what is the earliest a bull would respond to a cow call?

I guess you asked for it. I drew a tag in 23 a few years ago and had some help from a guy that lived in a town in the middle of the unit. He pretty much lived outdoors and even had names for several of the bulls. Anyway, he said he had heard bulls bugle and called in bulls in every month of the year. He said he only uses a cow call.

i'd have to agree. i have heard bulls bugle from april thru december.
