Price of unit 53 elk tag NM

What is the going rate for NM elk tags in unit 53? I think I found a decent deal on some bow tags and might get them but I have no idea what they go for.

53 is a decent unit in terms of elk numbers but it is a rugged unit. The most I'd pay for a 53 tag is $800.

i know someone sell for es bow tag for $600 and cow only $300.

that was last year..i don't know about this year...

2 year ago 4 of us drew last choice for muzzleloader for cow...we all got on first day...last year we went for my cousin first rifle season, killed an nice 5x5 bull, he was a lone bull, on first day of hunt, never see any elk rest of 3 days hunt..

Thanks guys, I found some bow tags for $500 which seemed reasonable, still thinking about it.

Unit wide price will be higher the ranch only tags. need to check with the surrounding ranchers to see how they did last year and that will give you a idea how things are on the ranch you are going to buy the tags from.
