thanks for sharing the pics. The story behind a bull like that is as cool as the rack itself.
The guys that shot the bull that I have had a cool story too. They cheated and used thier gas rations (during the war) for the tractor to go elk hunting. one brother shot the bull with his lever 30-30. When they returned home, they divided up the meat and the guy who shot the bull wanted the hide. Since the other brother drove his truck, he kept the antlers. They have been indoors since then.
I put a tape to them, and using boone and crockett's website came up with a gross score of 371 4/8 gross 352 net.
The palmated 8 point side is massive, but doesn't score as well. If it matched the 7 point side, it would be a 380 bull.
Does anyone know if it would make SCI?? My wife's grandpa would be thrilled to see that it made it into any record keeping book.
