Marble Mountains in CA?

After 12 years of giving the state my money, they finally came through with an elk tag for the Marbles.

I am wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions or advise on this area. I am hearing the west side holds more elk then the east.. I do not know. Having just been notified, I have not had an oppertunity to do my own checking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Marble Mts. are in my back yard. (Etna,Ca.)
Alot of the marble mt. elk winter here in the valley
we see huge bulls evey year. I might be able to help
