If any of you elk finatics that scout and hunt the Bighorns happen to run into any giant bullwinkles on your outings please let me know! I happened to draw a unit 1 moose tag above Sheridan and could use all the help I can get. I went up over the 4th and had a great time and am looking forward to Sept when the archery moose season opens up! I can be reached directly at: [email protected]

I thought I'd send this post back up to the top. It won't be long until hunting season now!

Along Red Grade road up to the the top. They always seem to be in the medows there.

I hunted bears there in 93. Got a decent one on the west side of the Bighorns north of Tensleep. Saw quite a few elk, but we were on private land. Beautiful country. Let us know how it goes.

I hunted deer in the southern part of the Bighorns 2 years ago, and saw 3 different bulls and a cow. Two of em' were well over 40". I'm not exactly sure what moose unit I was in, but I was about 15-20 miles south of Buffalo. Been buying my $7.00 preference point ever since. Talked to one of the landowners around there, he said that there were a ton of moose around there, and a lot of em' have probably never even seen a hunter and most just die of old age. Hopefully there will be one less in a couple more years. Good luck to ya.
