Post was pulled - double standard

earlier today I posted information about a landowner tag I bought and can no longer use for Colorado GMU 20. I was trying to to get my money back out of it, and let someone else hunt. The unit is DRAW ONLY, and "sold out". This was one measly tag that offered an opportunity at a Boone and Crockett class critter. I am clearly not going to profit from it at a $500 price.

My post was pulled, yet it seems to be accpetable to post advertise high dollar items like this:

I must ask the administrators, what gives and why the double standard?

unit 20 always has leftover buck tags for the rifle seasons. It is a draw unit but always has leftovers, good luck on getting your $ back.

No members were trying to sell anything for personal gain on the other posts. If it is a group like MDF, ADA, RMEF or otherwise the post will stay on the board. As for the EBAY post, anytime a big animal is on EBAY people normally post the link so we can all laugh at how much some people will pay for something that they did not harvest themselves. There is a classifieds section where you can post the tag you have for sale and it gets a lot of traffic. If MM allowed free advertising for things like your permit we would be overrun with people doing nothing more than trying to turn a dollar.

cohntr - This is muzzleloader bull tag, and we are not on the deer forum. This bull hunt code had over 240 applicants for 100 tags. Some guys used 6 points to acquire the tag. The reason there are left over deer tags is CWD and and an over allotment of licenses due to desired herd & disease management objectives.

If you guys think the ebay postings are just so you can gawk and laugh, your kidding yourself. It's advertising and it does draw bids.

That said, I'll post it in the classifieds. An alert from the moderator would have been nice rather then just pulling it.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-20-04 AT 10:50AM (MST)[p]Grasshopper, I don't see anything wrong with your post, but I'm not in a position to make that decision.

I guess it helps to be in with the crowd huh?

Vince

Why dont you email the moderator or founder and give them a chance to answer before you put up your whining post?

I agree RockyDog.

PS - I removed it because advertising in the forums is not allowed. Huntsonora explained why.
Sorry, but we have places to post ads for tags and hunts. The forums are not the place.
