2004 Elk Season Forecast...

What's the elk season forecast for your area?

Northcentral Colorado is green and wet. I would say your chances are good but not excellent. All the available food and water has spread the elk out pretty thin. I think all the good food will make for some impressive antlers. If you can find a bull old enough to have grown a set. I'm seeing a lot of 5s and young 6x6s.

Well, I was in Flagstaff, AZ for the last 4 days and if the elk there are any indication of the upcoming archery season, it should be awesome. Saw some nice bulls, one of which would net in the 370's and a few 350" bulls. Lots of bulls in the 300-320" range hanging out in herds of 10 or more. It's elk heaven.......that is IF and WHEN you can get a tag.
