elk & water??

what is all of your knowledge on elk and when they have to water, what i mean is that i know deer need water but don't need it everyday.. do elk absolutely need water everyday when it is still pretty warm during the days, such as sept. 1-- i am assuming that since they are big, and as big (or similar too) beef cattle they would water at least once a day... thanks..

yes, elk need and love water. They will drink 15+ gallons/day and they like to play in it too. They can't get that much water off of the graze.

If pressured they can go a day without it, but they always will need a water source.
