You bet!! I've heard a few giving off those half hearted staging type bugles they give this time of year. They're starting to rid themselves of velvet as well. It should be a decent year if the fires will hold off!! ElkNut1
Nebo unit this weekend we saw most all bulls but the spikes / forkies had shed their velvet and yes, they were bugling. It seems like its a couple weeks early this year.
I was up in the Gila Wilderness for three days this last weekend and didn't hear one bugle. We watched a 360 class bull from dawn till about 8:00 never once did he sing.
I was in the Strawberry Mountains this weekend and I did get one to bugle back while I was calling, Never could get on him though. I was really wanting to get some pics, the way he sounded he could of been big.
