help please: Craig Co.12&13,

Anyone familiar with this area ?
For over counter bull, this looks better than 7 for access.
I talked to some ranchers who sell T-pass..But where to go ?
I was told the weather has a big infuence on the dates chosen.
How is 12 & 13 for the 2nd hunt ? Oct. 17th-24th.
Is there public access that isn't too crowded ?
that sounds like a long shot maybe.. like a cabin without re-financeing my truck...
One very kind lady said thay have a cabin in 3 north of Craig, but not much for animals there unless it snows allot...

LAST EDITED ON Aug-19-04 AT 12:54PM (MST)[p]12 is crowded with both hunters and animals. Lots of elk are found in the national forest around the Sleepy Cat/Yellowjacket pass area, but also lots of hunters. Later seasons, or after a big snow, elk can be found about everywhere and will be moving through the sagebrush.

There's lots of access, though, and success is high.
