Dang it man! Anybody else in the construction trade out of work right now in Idaho? I work for several builders around the valley here but they are all at a stand still. Wish the bills would come to a stand still when the work does.

This sucks!!!!!!:'(

Sorry should have clarified, i'm here in Boise where everything has slowed to a crawl. Trying to drum up some business in Mccall or anywhere for that matter.

Drive down to Salt Lake City. I am in construction and there is more work here than you can imagine. St George Utah was the fastest growing city over 100,000 in the USA last year. I am having a hard time finding labor and everywhere you look there is a help wanted sign. Unemployment rate is 1.7% according to Utah dept of labor.

"One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

St. George has finally started to slow in the residental, however, the commercial in going in like crazy. I heard Idaho Falls is booming if thats not to far of a drive for you.

Idaho falls is booming, but if your a contractor or want to have your own crew your gonna be hard up. Idaho falls is a very got to know someone, or you arent gonna have alot of work. They always are loooking for framers and finishers but you are not gonna get paid very well.

I am a siding contractor and it is going good here in southern Idaho. Except for the cut throat low ballers that do crap work. They love under bidding and fly in and out on houses. Builders dont care around here about quality. They like to start and be done in under 45-60 days. Got to love coming behind everyone that doesnt care what it looks like.
But work is steady for me here.

Yep it's crazy here, i was averaging 10-15 houses a month and then one day i woke up and it was at a stand still. I hear you about the lack of quality though. The contractors i do work for can't believe i can't find work because of my quality, but thanks to the low ballers i can't. It'll pick up soon i hope.
