Hey guys here's a story that kept me up last night and probably will again tonight. My friend and I had a 370 bull hold up on us about 150 yards out. He was traveling across the hill side heading toward a small saddle where he would be crossing a road. He held up looking in our direction for about 5 minuets. We decided he wasn't going to come in and that my best bet would be to try to intercept him at the road. I slipped away and my partner cow called every time he started to move off toward the road, in order to give me time to get in place. The bull then proceeded to come in to within 25 yards of my friend who doesn't have a tag. I'm still sick about it, but the adrenaline kept both of us awake well into the night and it will be something I'll remember forever. The best thing about the experience besides the natural drug addiction is that I have three more weeks to chase him! I'll post his picture the day after I'm home with the big boy in tow! Good luck out there to the rest of you. I'm sure a bunch of you reading this could tell similar stories if you've been bow hunting elk for any period of time.
