AZ Unit 1 Archery Cow

Heading-up a week from tomorrow. Can't wait!!!!

Has anyone been up there in the past couple of days? Are the bulls bugling good yet??? Gotta find the bulls to get to the cows you know.... ;-)

Stanley, I would think that you should see tons of elk. The area around Big Lake, and Cresent Lake is where we see most of the elk in this untit. Our family usually goes to unit 1 over Labor day weekend, but this year we did not. When we do go we always see alot of elk. Last year we saw a herd of about 300 last year. They were probably starting to split up into a bunch of different herds.

There is a water pond not far from greens peak, sit this water hole at night and you will get a shot. if u can shoot your bow 50 yards then it will be easy. try to watch where the elk come out from and set up there and they will pass right by. i sat this whole for a rifle juniors only cow taga nd got a cow at 50 yards.
