Unit 76 Colo Update

in the title. Big improvement over
last week in rutting. Herd bulls are
bossing the harem all day. Most harems are
in the 20-200 range with often smaller
satelite bulls in the harem. About 10%
are dirty and herd bulls are bugling
maybe 10-30 bulges in the AM. 2 new bulls
moved in the 300-340 range and took harems.
No answers on any bugles. 4 point bulls still
white and some spikes still in velvet. No
tongue flicking at the cows. No mounting either.
No fights yet. Next week again should see a
big increase in activity. Serious stuff around
the 20 of Sept.Going in tomorrow and back Sun.
Had a big snowstorm last FRI and SAT with 12 in
above 12000 feet. Big melt ON SUNDAY and everyday
since. Almost all gone as of today. Roy in Montrose

Sounds like you have found the mother-lode,LOL with that many bulls and cows in one spot the bugling should be un-believeable. Good luck hope you get a really nice one. Did you get any pictures of the big herd.
