Jbone,
you only put up 2 halfs,
you only put up one, and left the other laying on the ground
you only had them up untill you spotted the real elk
and then you took them down
the trick is to place them behind you if your bow hunting and cow call and beat on trees with a big stick.
and moove around in a big circle around our decoy while doing this if your alone, and try to stay concealed. dont walk out into openings, da.
the game works great if you have a partner or two and you help each other out.
being spread apart and talking elk tal and beating in the brush will definetly bring in the bulls.
don't sit next to your decoy. the decoy acts like bright flowers do to bees.
my budy BIGTINES is swinging by my place tonight to pick up a couple to take on his trip out west,
Iwish i was going but this hear i had to git my wife a present for her 50th b-day.
Im just starting to build her a new house.
dont get rid of your decoys.
just try to use them properly.
I had elk come on a full gallop fron better than a half mile away. they sound like horses when they do that, its cool.
