I dont have any monsters, got a coupl around 110 -115 but am very proud of these rainforest kills......... Whats your biggest, and where did you get it?

None of mine have been that big. The biggest that I have gotten so far was an old timber buck. His head gear had already started digressing when I got him. He was a large 2 point. He had a 17 inch spread and his points are all about 7-8" long, no eye guards. I have seen quite a few really nice buck for this time of year so I hope to do a little bit better this year! Good luck

Later :) B_B

I hope you pop a big one, I know I have seen them close to your house area in the summer time, would love you to get one Muzzel loader season.......

i havent kiled the biggun yet, but i have two of his sheds, his back tines on both sheds are almost 16 inches ..main beams are almost the same (14 to 16 inches) He's a biggun, im trying agian for him this year....

Hi Guys, I live over at Blacktailcountry.com. I'm glad to see Mark got this going. Now I have something else to take away my time at work. LOL. The biggest BT i've taken was in 2000. He's 24 3/8 wide and gross 161, net 154. He's a 4x4 w/ eye g's. I took him with a rifle in Jackson Co. Oregon.

yeah yeah mike, your blacky is huge, you should post a pick and show em' what a real blacky looks like....talk to you tonite in the chat, if your gonna be there, later boss.....

Hey Mark, I've also found the sheds of the buck I'm after. I found them a couple of years ago, so I hope he's still around. Actually, I have found the sheds of two big bucks. I found them where I hunt(where I mentioned before). The biggest is a four point that scores right at 70". I only found one side to the big one (figures!). He has 5 1/2" bases, a sixteen inch g-2, and a twenty three inch main beam. All that and he only has a four inch g-3. The other is just a big three point with a fifteen inch g-2 and about five inch bases. Just curious, did you find your sheds where you mentioned before? There are some BIG bucks down there.
Good luck,
Shep

This one I shot in California (1990) that scores in the mid 120's. Hope the picture comes out okay.

Bohntr: beautiful buck, and even more impressive with a bow. Have you ever hunted the "Jungle bucks" ???? It is so nasty thick, I can see why many have gone to stand hunting. I personally never tried it, and in my area back in 1978 - 1984 I dont remember if anyone even stand hunted, so bow hunting was very very hard. Good job........

A heavy 3x3 in the Satsop unit a few years ago. Horns were small but he dressed around 225. Huge body. Took around four hours to get him out (3 miles). Of course behind closed gates.

Satsop has some big bucks. I know every book says blacktails are small, but I think what they have seen is the california bucks which body weight are alot smaller than what we shot in washington. 225 is a hog......

My buddy killed this one in the high cascade hunt in Oregon. It scored 141 3/8. Of course I missed his buddy which was about equal in size but not as much mass.

Elk, that is monsterous. I have not seen any in the woods like this other than in experimental fenced in areas. That is my dream buck.......

Tell your buddy congrats for me! I tip my hat to him for harvesting such a nice buck! Later :) B_B

Here's a picture of my hunting partner's CA archery record. It NETs 149" P&Y and gross scores in the 150's. It was shot in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Beautiful 24" Columbia Blacktail. Enjoy!

There are some really nice ones posted here. Mine isn't quite as nice as a few I've seen posted but I know this fellow's brothers and cousins are running around there with a few 'em being bigger by far.

I don't know what this one scored but the eyeguard is 3". I'll be out there in a couple weeks with my bow this year.

Thanks Bura Nut, yea he was a dark grey buck, if that is what you meant? He was an old buck that Im pretty sure was starting to regress in antler size, but hard to say for sure.

It is hard to even imagine a buck like this. What a fantastic buck. I personally believe getting a blacky like this is far far harder than a huge muley.....

I have never hunted Mulies before, but I can say that if you get a blacktail that scores as high as that bucks does at 154 7/8, that more than likely skill had alot more to do with it than luck. I have talked numerous times to the guy that shot that monster and believe me he earned this trophy! First off he passed up several smaller bucks to allow him the opportunity to take such a buck, secondly he was hunting in a county known for big bucks, thirdly, he covered alot of ground that day to get as far away as he could from other hunters, and lastly he hunted very hard all season, especially the day he shot this mossback!
Good luck and I hope you get a biggun.

mine is a 28" 3/4 wide 7x6 double drop buck from C-zone in CA. there's a pic, under "Manny's bucks" here on MM.com.. if anybody knows how to cut & paste in this subject I'll email it to ya............................

I have never had my bucks scored but i have shot in previous years a 3x3 with three eye guards that measure 18" and a 16" 4x4 and this year i bagged a 24" 5x5 benchleg all with a rifle. i will probably post some pictures when i get the film developed.
