Elk hunting from blinds????

I was just curious if anyone here has ever hunted elk from a gound blind (man-made, fabric or plastic). If so, how do elk react to them? Have you ever had an elk "spook" at one?
I do a lot of hunting at water and was thinking this might be the way to go when a tree stand isn't applicable.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about fabric style I bought one for this year and I have it on my pack as I type. But if you can build one from natural material I would do that. We did this last year and would use it in the morning and evening needless to say as we were heading to it one evening some other hunters stopped and stated they were heading to the same spot so we told them about the blind, they got a 5X5 they came by camp that evening to tell us.
