WA white tail hunting

I was wondering if anyone would help me out and let me know if there are any decent areas in Eastern WA to hunt Whitetail archery during the late season on public land. Any farmers receptive to giving permission? I would love to take my son (he is 12) and take him on a little whitetail hunt. We have a week after Thanksgiving.

Thank you for your time and consideration!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-26-07 AT 09:53AM (MST)[p]Lots of deer and public land north of spokane in the colville national forest, little pend oreille NWR, etc. seemingly very archery friendly. good whitetail hunting all the way down the far-eastern side of the state down through pullman to pomeroy. further south you go, you'll start seeing more mule deer too. farmers are usually friendly about granting permission, especially if you are willing to take a doe.
pm me if you want, i can give you some specifics in southeast washington around pomeroy.

You may also want to head east of Fairfield WA. There are some foothills between the town of Latah and the Idaho border. Farmers are receptive to hunters, but I would suggest a small bribe (alcohol, etc...). I believe that the small mountain range, in the area, is public land.
