Want to fill freezer with cow elk!

Can anyone help me out with this. I have a general tag this year I usually get a cow tag in the breaks but got turned down this year and I am lost when it comes to any general areas in MT. Anyone need a cow thinned out or know any landowners who would want to get rid of a cow elk. I just want to fill the freezer. I am planning on going out over thanksgiving break. Anyone feel like pointing me in a direction to find a cow. Thanks in advance.

i am from the ne corner near westby. I was just out to Lewistown, I couldn't find an elk to save my life. Any ideas??

all i can say at this point is look into the extended season units and go for it. good luck to you
