Just wondering if any of you have been out that way recently? Wife has a bull tag and is very excited to harvest.. Thanks Leadore...

As of last weekend most of them were still up higher closer to Harriman, saw 4 small bulls. There were a few killed down lower that I heard about. I also was told lots of elk farther east around Sadrous hill area. They will come down.
My 13 year old son and I both have that same bull tag.

We went out Sat.. and saw 30 cows and calfs.. No bulls.. Close to Sandcreek.. Hope for some more snow to kick them big boys down..

I've heard of a few killed near Bishop Mtn. One cow hunter reported there were elk spread throughout the area. No snow in the immediate forcast but it is supposed to get colder.

I'm in 62A and can't believe the wolves around there! Never realized it was that bad and that many. Spent Nov. 1--4th up there, right after the big storm dumped close to a foot along the Mesa Falls rd./area, a few cows/calves and a couple decent bulls but I would like to wait until the snow gets them moving. I've got till Dec. 15th---any elk.

Any updates from the bull and cow hunters in Eastern ID? It's supposed to be cold next week so that should help!

Went the last two weekends and saw 15 elk total. One spike and all the rest cows and calfs!! Been going around the area north of big grassy road. Sure would like to know where the bulls are at?? Had a buddy that went up around big bend for cows and as seen nothing as for elk... Wife has to go out of town for two weeks after turkey day.. So this weekend is it!! Anybody have any luck!!!!????

Got back yesterday from 62A, miles and miles of hiking in that crunchy-breakthru snow and not a single fresh elk track crossed. Talked to some local guys that had deer and elk tags in 60-61 and they had taken a doe and not seen any bulls, one cow and calf....... Looks like I'll be back up the Dec. 10th for the last few days of my hunt dates. Just love that area though and no wolves seen or heard this trip!!

That hunt is either great or real bad. It of course all depends on weather. I have had buddies that have had the hunt but i have never tried to draw in that area. Lots of potential to kill a great bull if the conditions are right. The greatest downfall in that area is if the weather does get bad to early it is a bloodbath when the indians get there. The elk have no chance when the snow pushes them down into that desert. The fish and game give to many tags and then the indians go and kill as many as they want. It is a wonder the heard is in as good as shape as it is. When the snow comes the elk loose the only refuge they have.
