Muzzloader in Utah

Does anyone think that the draw odds will be better for a muzzleloader than for a rifle. I have been applying for LE tags and I wondered if it would really make any difference. I know that any LE tag is a tough draw.

Depends on the LE unit and the amount of tags. Maybe when the 2005 proc. comes out we all can brain storm and get the best ideas.??

REMEMBER THIS ONE!!!

PROCLAMATIONS ARE USUALLY NOT OUT BEFORE YOU HAVE TO ENTER THE UTAH LOTTERY!!!

I DON'T AGREE WITH IT,THE DWR ALWAYS HAS AN EXCUSE FOR IT THOUGH!!!

THE ONLY bobcat NOT READY FOR SOME OF THE CHANGES!!!

I am confused Bobcat? I have put in for limited entry hunts the last 15 years and have always had the Proclamation and read it from cover to cover a couple of times before I send in my application. I always get a proclamation way before the deadline exspecialy since they made it so you can read the proc online.

Maybe what the Bobcat meant was that the number of permits available for each hunt is not printed in the proclamation, so one has to guess which hunt will have the best odds.

THATS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY!!!

YOU MIGHT HAVE IT IN YOUR HAND BUT LACKING INFORMATION ON PERMIT NUMBERS MAKE IT HARD TO OUT GUESS!!!

ONE THINGS FOR SURE,PERMIT NUMBERS ALMOST ALWAYS GO UP!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WAITING FOR ANOTHER HIGHLY COVETED BONUS POINT!!!

Thanks for the info.I was told that the odds would be better for a muzzleloader after the realignment of some of the other hunts. I guess it just depends on who you ask.

Keep in mind that Last Years great Odds unit/hunt will be this years terrible odds because everyone sees those great odds from last year!! Know what I mean.........

Also, I think last years odds are already posted on the dwr website. But I agree, Good odds in 2004 may not be good odds in 2005. That's the first thing I do is check the odds then consider putting in for that hunt. So does everyone else. Generally muzzleloader will have better draw odds. The crappy thing is that the muzzle elk is right after the rifle elk.
