Thanks for posting!

Thats pretty sad IMHO. Everyone of them should have been cited for game harrassment. Its a shame that urban enchroachment has led to this.

No I didnt miss it but you said "everyone of them", there was tons of cars that stopped and one guy did that so I guess you should of said the guy that bugled and I would of understood. But really who cares if he bugled at it or not. Whats the differece of a hunter bugling at bulls during hunting season or trying to locate them before the season starts. Id of probably did the same thing just to see if I could get a bugle out of him. He didnt know he was gonna get rammed.

It looks like there in Mammoth in north Yellowstone, the elk live right in town with the people, it is neat to see.

Kirk,

I guess I'm not going to debate this with you, we obviously have different opinions. What I see is a herd bull who is trying to carry on his tradition and has a-holes stopping and ogleing his attempts to do what is basic natural instinct. I dont think its funny, I dont think it compares to a hunter who bugles in a bull in an open hunt zone with a tag and weapon at his reach. Check the game laws, I would bet that falls under harrassment, especially if it is in a National Park because now youre talking Federal Laws.

Carry on with the thread cuz I'm done with it. Its cool to see the bull interacting with the cows, nothing after that is cool to me, sorry, I'm not some Liberal tree hugging tight ass but I just dont find it cool.

I just thought i would throw my two cents in about this issue. First off I think the both of you have valid points. It is sad to see these beautiful animals taken down or having there antlers cut off or having been re-located because they are "too close to human interactions".

Now I live in Jackson Hole, wyoming and to say this is a everyday occurence would be an understatement. literally these animals; elk, deer, bears, moose, etc., live right in town and get along fairly well with the humans. they seem to coexist. however, every now and then you have someone complain and the animals must be put down or the rack cut down or whatever because someone is afraid for there lives around these animals. i personally know of three bears that had to be put down this past spring and fall because they were to close to the humans, it is just sad. i believe that since these animals once considered this place home long before the ski areas, markets, parks, everything else were here, we should respect this and let them be. when someones toys with an animal during its most vulnerable time of the year, these people should not only be ashamed of themselves but they should be fines as well. as far as the rest of your arguement about everyone of these people receiveing some sort of punishment, no offense and i hope you don't take any this is what happens when development gets out of control.

You would have to cite the entire southern population of utah for going into parks and bugling at the elk then.......
