Man those are some kool pics. Good sized herd not many bulls with them though. Wonder what the B/C ratio is.

Would love to run into them bulls with a tag in my pocket!

idahomuley...i am not offended, but what picture do you possibly think is fake? i'm available 24/7, if'n you ever decide to come this way, i will gladly show these to you, and many more...as i said, i am not offended, but there area few others on this site that have gone with me, or gone where i directed them, and i can assure you, they were not disappointed...

Great pics... Those first two remind me of Honey bees on a hive. All bunched in like that and the color. Very cool.

I dont know if you guys see many big herds where you are at but around here it is not uncommon to see a herd of 300-500 elk with no more than 10 bulls in it hence the bachelor herds. When you find the bulls you find um all. The bull to cow ratio cannot be implemented here because the bulls are broken off from the herd. This time of year I wont even look at a big heard, it is the small groups that make me get out my spotting scope out.

I scoped 147 bulls and not a single cow once on Deseret L&L property. I have video of 24 6x6 or bigger bulls all together on the oak creek unit from a few winters ago. Not a smaller bull or cow within miles of them. Bulls and cows don't often mix in the winter from my limited experience looking for them that time of year.

Cheers,
Pete
