my son and i went out early this am and made a great sneak on a nice bunch of big bulls, 20 plus, we waited at daylight for them to feed towards us. they were about 40 yards away without a clue, when i took my first (and only) pic. soon as i took it, a man and a woman came riding through the timber on a 4-wheeler. they didn't have a clue, either...the elk busted, the couple saw what happened, and were very apologetic. we told'em, no big deal...we'll just come back tomorrow....
i was taking this pic of the one who's body is showing. was waiting for him to lift his head. he was a very nice bull, you can just see his tips in front of his hind quarters... didn't even see the smaller rack next to him till i looked at my only picture.
