beaverhead outfitters new mexico

I am looking to go on elk hunt in new mexico and was wondering if anybody knows or has heard if beaverhead outfitters runs a good operation.

I a licensed NM Outfitter and can say without a doubt Jack and Ken are in the top of top in NM. They are honest and will work hard for for your hard earned dollar and respect. Jim @ JFW Ranch Consulting.

I would be careful, they seem to overbook, I hunted there a few years back on the first rifle hunt, I would say that half the hunters had good hunts (mostly repeat clients)and the rest of us mostly first timers had poor to terrible hunts. The hunters that went out with Jack and Ken and maybe two of their other longtime guides did very well. The rest of us never got into any bulls. I hunted for the entire hunt and never saw a bull. The problem was not enough good guides that knew the area for the amount of paying hunters.

hey saxon

the boys are right, any guide can make or break the hunt. last oct I hunted with B/O in 15. the guides were Jim and Jay, both very competant and knew the area. accomodations were pretty good too! can't offer too much about the Gila area they operate though. good luck.
