This last year, the Utah DWR passed a special hunt for disabled hunters, that allow disabled hunters to hunt Any Bull Units during the rut with a rifle, September 17-28th.

I have a dear neighbor, Bret, that can take advantage of this hunt. I have been trying to find some private land, that holds some decent bulls that Bret can access and hunt. I have helped him harvest two mule deer and an antelope the last couple of years. I want to help fulfill one of his life dreams of killing a bull elk with his rifle.

A little background on Bret, Bret broke his neck/back 10 years ago in a tragic car accident leaving him paralyzed from the armpits down. This happened 3 months into his marriage as he and his wife were traveling back to school down at Snow College. The last 10 years have been a struggle for Bret and Jen to say the least. He is currently a highschool counselor at Hunter High School where he is loved by all he works for and helps day in and day out. Although Bret can not walk, he can get around on a four wheeler or via truck. Although his arms are not up to full capacity, he still is able to accurately shoot a rifle up to 250-300 yards.

I am checking with you too see if there might be an opportunity for Bret to hunt elk on some private property.

Please let me know if we can get him access to this land or if you know of other areas where he maybe able to take advantage of this sweet hunt.

Thanks CS
