Rock Creek, MT

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with hunting the Rock Creek area just east of Missoula, Mt. It is pretty steep and rugged terrain, making it hard to access on foot (my only means of transportation). I have spotted a few decent bulls up there in the past couple weeks but don't know if it is worth focusing my time in that area or if I should look else where. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

There are some HUGE rams there I hear. Good luck on the elk, probably tought hunting.

I haven't hunted rock creek much, I talked to a guy who guided there a few years back. He said he got most of his clients decent bulls. His comment was not alot of elk, just got to know where to find them. Take the fly rod, and I'll see you up there when I draw my sheep tag!

I live in missoula and fish rock creek a ton. it is a really cool area but most of the good areas are private when it comes to hunting. My buddy shot a 140 class whitetail and we always see a ton of sheep, but not a lot of elk.
