I'm just wondering what peoples opinions are on the best place to hunt for elk in the canyons from Ogden to Provo. I have spent many years hunting elk around the Lambs Canyon area with some success, but the hunting is very hard. What are other people doing and are they finding may elk? Anybody try Farmington Canyon?

I have seen many people hunting up Corner Canyon I would guess that is a hot spot also I was told that a 350 plus bull was seen wintering above Draper this winter.

ah you know a about the wasatch then on a serious note Millcreek to Lambs is always a good bet and Willow creek and Bear trap up Big cottenwood have some decent elk up on top but it is tuff hunting as far as Farmington canyon i have not seen much sign nor elk up there. East canyon has always been decent if you get some good snow

Behind the radar station up farmington canyon has been good in the past, above Snowbasin in the trapper loop area, but its is mostly private and easy accessable... but there are AVT all over the place in both these areas. backside of cause Res. but have to watch out for Deseret land and livestock area, and skull crack CMU. Get some good topo maps, visit the county courthouse and mark them good. throw on a backpack with a good GPS. it can be done, but it is not easy.
