Fishlake Archery

Has anyone hunted this unit with archery tackle for limited entry elk. I once again struck out for the Fishlake any weapon tag, however, I feel like I can draw this tag next year if I put in for archery. I know the area well, but I'm a little concerned about archery deer, and spike elk hunters making the hunt less enjoyable.Any suggestions or experience would be appreciated.

I hunt that unit every year with a bow. I hunted it for big bulls 8 years ago. See a good number of bulls but a lot of the ones we see in the area we go are in the 290-310 class. The one I got was 292. Good luck.

You will run into enough hunters if you stick to the general areas that everybody hunts. Get away from them and you will be fine. Plan on hiking a little. there are plenty of bulls 320-350. I think Fishlake is a great until for a bow. that or monroe.
