AFRICA BOUND!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-26-06 AT 04:33PM (MST)[p]In a little over 24 hrs, my new wife and I will be on a plane bound for 2 weeks in South Africa!! We have been planning this honeymoon for over a year now and it has finally got here. Everything is ready to go..We are all packed up, all the gun permits and other paperwork is in order, and we are ready to do some serious flying! Its a LONG trip over there. We fly out of Tucson on to Phoenix and then on to Washington DC to overnight. Then we board the big plane and fly all the way to the country of Senegal in west Africa to refuel the jet and then keep an truckin till we get to Johannesburg. Its a 17 hr flight. And from there, we catch one more plane to Hoedspruit.. Not fun when you're fired up and ready to get there and start hunting and breathing in Africa after a long absence..
We will be hunting for 7 days ...The property I will be hunting neighbors the Kruger National Park and is over 35,000 acres in size. Should be big enough to find some good plains game!! Maybe a day or so of bird hunting thrown in there as well.. Then we are going to do alot of sight seeing and photo safari hunting with cameras for a few days days in Kruger. After that, we are going to just do some little sight seeing around the local towns and do some shopping and such. Should be the times of our lives.. This will be my third time to SA and I always told her that I would take her as soon as I could. I know she is going to fall in love with Africa as much as I did the first time I went..

I got the memory cards ready and lots of film for the cameras, so be ready to see alot of pics when we get back in a few weeks!!

Congratulations, I can only imagine what it must be like, Hope you and your wife have the time of you life. Im recently new to Monster Muleys Forum and I have to say I have enjoyed many of the threads, I learn something new every time I log on. I to have dreamed of going to Africa, and just recently planned my first trip. Going to Namibia for plains game,(8 days)July 07'. Would love to here about your trip and any advice that you might share. Be safe!! Aim Straight!!. Also for some of you guys that have always dreamed of going to Africa, Dont think it is out of your reach, Im just an average joe, and hunt on a modest income, and until I started researching Africa I had no Idea how affordable it is to go. You can actually hunt africa cheaper than hunting most game here in the states,especially if its a guided hunt. If anybody is ever interested just let me know, I have tons of info on Africa or can point you in the right direction. (Im not an agent!!, I just like to share any info that might help my fellow hunters). If you haven't done the research you will be surprized!!! lth

Congratulations on the wedding? How 'bout congratulations on finding a girl that wants to go hunting for her honeymoon! You must be the man. Hope you guys have a great time. Post some honeymoon pics when you get back.
