Hello. Does anybody know if you have a leftover cow license that is being counted as an additional tag can you hunt bull one season and the leftover cow tag in another season ? I can't find that in the brochure and I called the division of wildlife office and the girl had no clue. Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, some are and some aren't. There are only certain areas that cow tags are considered "additional"

Call someone else at the DOW. I rarely find someone that can't answer my question or find someone who knows the answer. You can also email them in the meantime. They generally email me back fairly quickly.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-20-05 AT 08:46PM (MST)[p]Page 5 in this years Big game Pamphlet:

A hunter can have 1 elk license from list A

A hunter can have TWO elk licenses, if at least 1 is from list B

Limited antlerless licenses for units (too many to list, look at the pamphlet) in list B are additional.

As far as hunting in two different seasons, yes you can. In the chart it says under list A that one of your licenses may be "any elk license".

Go get em,
