Arizona phone call!

I was out on the job today driving up a nasty ol' dirt road when my cell phone rings. I look at the number and see it is a (602) Arizona number. I have friends in Az. but didn't recognize the number so I chose to not answer. They did not leave a message and I got to thinking later...what if? What if it was AZGFD? So I called the number back and an automated operator said (in a nutshell)that it was a phone number that was linked to a governmental agency in Phoenix but they couldn't give me any more information. It was a strange message indeed. My credit card has plenty of space for the charges.....but now it has me wondering with cards being charged and everything. Oh well, there goes my big lope and elk tag for this year......I hope one of you guys get tag if for some reason I lost it.
And in case anyone might be wondering, It's not a regulatory agency looking for me...I'm a pretty straight shooter...I think! :)

I am hoping we get a call! We have a unique problem with our application. This year we applied with my hunting partner's credit card. The number was stolen this week, and the dirt bags ran up about $2000 in charges at a sporting goods store in California. The fraud alert caught it and he is not out the money, but he had to cancel the card we applied with. He was going to try to call the main office and substitute numbers.

I would highly recommend that if any of you get a call from AZ that you may want to take it if you put in for the draw. There could have been a number transposed on your application or your card company could have denied the charges etc. I'm sure they will make an attempt but if your card gets denied your tag is going to go to the next guy on the list! The instructions stated that if you had to change cards for some reason that you were given information on how to do it and there was a way to do it on the internet. It's your responsibility to make sure the card will work not their's. Good luck!

One rumor that I read on one of these forums is that the g$f is having problems with the credit card companies denying the charges even if you have enough money or credit on the card, I guess the cc company thinks that the charges are fraudalent because they are coming from a kentucky (out of state)company.

What? That new info. doesn't help. I hope it's not one call and on tho the next guy in line. I'm callin AZGFD Monday.

Blank,

there is a place on the AZGF website where you can go and update your CC information, it is still active on the website so we can assume it's not too late to change your CC information.

Good luck

I know that when doing the Colorado apps I used a credit card and it shut down the card because of fraudulant activity. I had to call the CC bank and have the charges approved to get the apps payed for.
Make sure your credit card company puts a note on the account to accept these charges.

If you put in for the "hunter pool", it could have been about a tag for that also. I live here in AZ. They call people for those tags to see if you want it or not. They WILL NOT call you about a CC problem, if it is denied, your done! They do however try a couple of times. To the guy who had CC stolen, get on the website now and change that info, you may still heve a chance. Someone here had their CC hit today at noon! Good luck to all in the draws!
