New Mexico Tag

I drew a tag (or the web said I did) but have not received the tag. Has anybody received a tag yet?

My Valle Vidal 1st rifle hunt is not here yet. My 9 year old daughter waits in vain for the mail to come so she can be the one to give it to daddy.

shoottwice, i too was drawn for the first fifle hunt in the valle vidal, except mine is the either sex youth hunt. have you done any scouting?

I got my New Mexico "carcass tag" yesterday. On the tag is states "this is not a hunting license, the hunter must purchase one separately". When I read the NM regs, it states hunting license are not issued to non-residents. Is there something else I need to do? (I am going to call the NM Game and Fish)

LAST EDITED ON Aug-01-05 AT 05:30AM (MST)[p]270, I haven't scouted Valle Videl since I'm in Michigan. Talked to a bunch of outfitters and F&G guys for hints. Since I can't get out there to scout, We (my buddy and I both drew) will be with guides. It was a tough choice but we figure this may be the best Elk hunt we go on together for a long time. We will be staying in Cimmaron campground.
