AZ unit 8 Dec Cow hunt???

Hello everyone, My Mom drew her 3rd elk tag in the past 5 years but she hasnt been able to connect and its not for lack of trying either she loves to get out and walk ans see the country she cant stand being couped up in a truck driving roads. I have been in this unit before but never had the oppurtunity to hunt it. Done mostly fishing and hiking around. So I am just woundering how everyone thinks this late Cow hunt is and maybe a couple places to look prior to scouting? Oh and how much snow do you think it would take to push the elk into Sycamore and down lower. Thanks for any advice I surely appreciate it. Hugh Powell

Great unit, Lots of elk, You shouldn't have any trouble finding them they are every where, Start from the devil dog interchange off of I-40 and go south on the 108 forest road, Stop just about anywhere that looks good to you and take a walk they are there.
Be careful there are a couple of big ranches back in there but alot of area to hunt in, Good luck to your mom and show us pics.

I really appreciate the help Slick Rock Iam sure it will come in Handy for there hunt and I will be sure to post some pics of there hunt.
