Predator Brown Camo

I finally got my "custom" bibs from DayOne in Predator Brown!! I'm mostly hunting on the ground in stands of eastern red & white oaks and can't wait til this weekend to try them out. Using an x-bow, I normally don't use a portible(unfair advantage), but rather set-up small ground blinds using logs and limbs. I've used the Predator Green years ago , but didn't like the "fade" of the colors after a year of use. I'm eager to see how the garment,as well as,the color-fastness holds-up. I'm on vacation all four weeks of Nov. and the first week of Dec. and will be bowhunting everyday!! I think the Predator Brown should be awesome for ground hunting. Do any of you guys have any experience w/DayOne clothes and the Predator Brown camo? What's your opinion? "KEEP YOUR BLADES HONED AND YOU FLECHING DRY" :D Buckrub

buckrub, a little trick i use to keep my camo from fading or getting that kinda white look to them is to turn them inside out before you wash and dry them. it isnt full proof if stuff is gonna fade its gonna fade, but i think it prolongs the color a little bit. cant hurt to do it anyway!

Thanks Mike! I do turn all my camo inside-out and I use baking soda to wash it in, but some fabrics just don't hold their color as good as others. I think the new fleece and saddlecloth clothes tend to hold color better then the "old cotton". I also try not to use the dryer either, and hang dry instead. :)

buck, you wash in baking soda? what does that do, ive never heard of that before? i usually use that scent killer stuff, is baking soda better? will it leave a scent? should i rewash my camo for my hunt this weekend!?!?!

Hey buck you lucky dog... Do you really think you need to hunt the whole rut? You should be at work...

I have a Day One pull over fleece coat. I have had it for years and love it. It has a loop on the front that holds your calls, binos etc from flapping when you walk. I think I have had it for probably 10 years now and it still looks like well almost new.

I have a set of preditor fall brown camo... I think it was actually made by Preditor. Its cotton and has faded a little over time but not that much, I think I've had it close to 7 years. I really like the preditor line, it seams to really break up your outline better than any other camo I have seen.

Good luck, hope you have fun!

Oh and I wash my cloths in baking soada sometimes too. Its a natural scent absorber. The scent killer stuff works just as well IMO

Baking soda works just like "scent-killer", but it costs next to nothing. It leaves no after smell, has no brighteners and it's kind to all fabrics!!! Give it a try. And Mr."Stew", do I detect a hint of jealousy? Let's be fair, you get to hunt out west with your "connections" and all I get to hunt is whitetails. I need about a month of vacation to get "Balto. City" outta my system!!! Can ya dig it? It's gonna be good for me and very bad for the deer!! Thanks for your take on the DayOne. Here's wish'in both of ya good luck on your hunts!!!! Buckrub :7
