somewhat eventful day

I was out shed hunting this morning with my dad and one of my brothers and didnt find anything but on the way down we heard all this shooting going on and seen around 300 elk coming down out of the hills it was pretty cool to see that many at once. There was one bull a "huge" 1x3 still packin all the other bulls had shed already. We did get some nice pics and will post when they are developed it was exciting to see that many bulls and not find an antler anywhere.

so what was all the shooting going on that spooked all the elk?

we dont know but we did see someone coming down the mountain with a pistol in hand. there are a lot of rock chucks in the area he was probably shooting at them. I also wonder if he was shooting at the elk but we did tell the game warden what we saw and heard so they can follow up on it
