Decided to hunt with my muzzleloader this year. Have never hunted elk with it before, but the season dates (opens Oct. 1) and the warmer weather seemed favorable. Have been doing some scouting, and am heading up this weekend to the William O Douglas wilderness area northwest of White Pass to check it out. Will also be scouting the Tatoosh wilderness. I love to hike in and get away from the crowds. Am also hoping to run into a good bull. Has anyone out there ever done this hunt, and do you have any info that might help me?
