Name this mountain and the hunting unit that it is located in. This is one beautiful area. Wish that I could some day receive a permit in this area.

Looks similar to country I have hunted in NM North of Alomongordo, White sands near Mescolara-Apache Res.
Bittersweet

Looks a lot like Calkens Peak in 36A in the White Clouds. I know at 11,500 it's pretty tall. Spent 16 days above 10K by myself, for my ram in there.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-24-05 AT 09:04PM (MST)[p]Looks to me like Castle Peak in Unit 36A. Looks like this picture was taken at the top of the trailhead just before the trail drops down into Chamberlain Basin. My huntin' partner & I missed a big bull down below the large white spot near the bottom left of this picture.....he was laying down & bugling with about 12-15 cows. Will never forget it! The next day a woman named Betty was able to tag her first bull (toward the mid-right-hand side of this picture). She sure was lucky to be drawn in this area....what a hunter she is!!!!!! And she's the lady that says she could be hit by a freight train in the middle of the desert!
